AMERICANBLUE CONSULTING COMPLETES SUMMER CAMP

St. Petersburg, FL - (August 5, 2002) - AmericanBlue Consulting (ABC) completed their summertime community service project this past weekend with the awarding of certificates of accomplishment to 50 summer camp students.
Thirty children, ten to fourteen years old, were provided with a Business Computer Training course. This included the use of Microsoft Word with mail merge, Excel spreadsheet exercises and Digital Camera. Twenty children, eight and nine years old, were educated in safe surfing on the Internet. They also developed and published personalized websites using the Hot Dog Jr. website editor.
These classes demonstrated to all the children the practical business application of personal computer technology and productivity software. Simply put - it demonstrated the ability to think faster and remember more than they could ever do on their own. Both courses included handout materials and exercises to facilitate note taking and follow-up.
Instruction took place at the Enoch Davis Community Center on 18th Avenue South. The classes could not have been held without the thoughtful support of Wanda Mitchell, coordinator of summer camp activities and Lynette Buchanan Center supervisor. Brighthouse formerly AOL-Time Warner Road Runner provided the essential Hi-speed Internet access. While summer activities have completed, AmericanBlue continues into the fall with Thursday morning support at the adjacent Johnson Library branch.
