Hi Dianne,
I thought you'd like to know that I have the interview at the Sylva Herald this morning at 10:00. Thanks so much for being persistent with them!
Joyce Moore, of the City Lights, announced that the event raised $1,500 for the new library. I hope they've learned that you have to really promote an event if you want a great turnout. They need someone like you-that knows how to do the contacts and see that the information gets out to the public. Still it was a good learning experience!
Some good news -- the Franklin Library Association wants to hold a Book Fair in 2005. The lady from there stopped by and took my business card and said they're looking to sign up as many of the local and regional authors as possible. She also told me that they want to schedule the Book Fair during the tourist season to ensure there's a bigger turnout!
I hope that at some point we can meet! That would be so wonderful after all the hard work you've put in on the media kit and event schedule. I'm hoping that if things work out, we may be able to work together again. I finished my second manuscript this past week now I'm searching for a new publisher and a literary agency.
HAVE A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Thanks again!
Cherrie'
